KEY DECISIONS OF MISE-EN-SC`ENE
Costume:
There a multiple settings in our trailer. For the first part of the trailer, it will be filmed in a basement and it will be night. this is to make the trailer seem like a horror trailer and most horror trailers, basements are sometimes used. in the rest of the trailer, it is filmed in a doctors office during the day time, then a hallway (day)- when Jessica sees Ann, then in Alice's bedroom, when she gets pulled into the mirror by Ann and at the end the setting is back in the basement.

Lighting:
For the basement scenes, I will use low key lighting, which will emphasise the shadows and dark spaces in the basement, which will have my desired effect on the audience, which is for them to be tense and very scared/jumpy. In the hallway scene, I will use high key lighting because it is going to be day time when I film this scene. For the doctor scene, I will use high key lighting because doctors offices usually have lots of lights on and there are not many shadows as well.
- The costume for Ann will be a black, knee length dress, with rips and gashes and blood all over it. I chose for her character to dress up like this because I wanted her to represent something dark and twisted, seeing as she had a horrible childhood and a brutal murder. She is wearing the colour black because it represents her evil nature. it is similar to the Grimm Reaper wearing a long black cloak, which represents death.
- The costume for the doctor will consist of a lab coat, glasses and a stethoscope.
- For Alice she will be wearing bright clothing. I chose for her character to wear bright clothing because this represents her innocence and childish nature. It is contrasting to Ann.
- For Ryan, he will be wearing trousers, a jumper (black) and trainers.
- For Harriet, she will be wearing olden style costumes, the same style as the Victorian era
- For Elsie, she will be wearing feminine jeans, a jumper and shoes.
- For Jessica, she will be wearing jeans, top and boots.
