This is my final version of my trailer poster that I have edited and produced on Photoshop. I decided to put the title in the middle because it is one of the most important pieces of information on the poster and I believe that it will catch the attention of the viewer. Also I have copied similar styles of horror posters for example: the font of the title looks like dripping blood and I used the colournred to symbolise danger and blood.

This is my updated version of my film poster that I have been working on. To be able to finish this poster I will take a picture of a real arm (which will probably have red paint on it to represent blood) and I will use the same process as I used with this arm in Photoshop and replace it with my image.

Filming: I have been doing the filming on my own in Hadiah's absence (classmate). So far I have been able to film half of the scenes we have and I am steadily making my way through each of the scenes we have. I have filmed scenes 1, 2, 4, 6 so far.  Some of these scenes have gone well in terms of filming i.e. on some of the shots I have filmed I used white balancing, I managed to get a good voiceover to accompany scene 6. But, I need to work on using the tripod more when I am filming so that the footage will not be out of focus on the screen. Editing: I have been using Premier Pro to edit the footage that I filmed for my trailer. When I was learning how to use it in class, we edited a clip on Premiere Pro which I enjoyed and found easy to use after I finished editing the clip.  Screenshot of Wolf of Wall Street clip (my version): Here is my document of feedback

This empty mirror frame is my inspiration for the main image of my movie poster because I like the idea of having Ann come out of the mirror because I fell that it sums up to movie just by itself and the audience will instantly know that the movie poster relates to the actual movie. Also, I used Adobe  Photoshop and the quick selection tool to select the piece of the  mirror that I wanted (which was only the frame). This image is what I want on my movie poster. I will have Ann coming out of the mirror (which is similar to this mirror) with her hands in a similar position and I will have the frame of the mirror I am using be blended into the black background, which will make the audience fearful because the picture of Ann I will use will have a bit of fake blood on her.

                          These are the movie posters which I found interesting to use and will most likely copy similar elements of these posters.  You can tell that these are horror posters because of the lighting in the posters-they use low key lighting and they use dark, bleak colours to represent danger and a sense of evilness. It uses red as well which suggests danger and blood.

The process: My teacher filmed me standing in front of one of the computers near the door. Then we took out the glass from a wooden frame and we filmed the frame. Then we uploading all our footage onto the macs and then opened up Premiere Pro. We put the footage onto Premiere Pro and played around with some buttons and functions, we put the footage of my in front of the computers and shelf and we put it inside the frame to make it look like i was coming from within the frame.

Costume: The costume for Ann will be a black, knee length dress, with rips and gashes and blood all over it. I chose for her character to dress up like this because I wanted her to represent something dark and twisted, seeing as she had a horrible childhood and a brutal murder. She is wearing the colour black because it represents her evil nature. it is similar to the Grimm Reaper wearing a long black cloak, which represents death. The costume for the doctor will consist of a lab coat, glasses and a stethoscope. For Alice she will be wearing bright clothing. I chose for her character to wear bright clothing because this represents her innocence and childish nature. It is contrasting to Ann. For Ryan, he will be wearing trousers, a jumper (black) and trainers. For Harriet, she will be wearing olden style costumes, the same style as the Victorian era For Elsie, she will be wearing feminine jeans, a jumper and shoes. For the 1st part of my trailer (it is set in the basement at night and Jessica goes to touch the mirror but is pushed back by a unseen force) I will use: a long shot to show Jessica going down to the basement and inside the basement. As she is walking up to the mirror, I will use a extreme close up of the mirror and when Jessica is pushed down, I will use a medium shot to show her falling to the floor. For the 2nd part of my trailer (it is set in the hallway, it is daytime) I will use: an establishing shot to show where this part of my trailer is taking place and I will use a medium close up of Jessica screaming, with her hands over her ears. Then when it cuts to where Alice goes to the basement and touches the mirror, I will use a long shot again. When she sees Ann in the mirror, it will cut to her face and I will use a extreme close up and when she is running away from the mirror I will use a medium long shot. INT. BASEMENT – NIGHT Jessica Goes down to the basement and sees the mirror. She touches it and is pushed down to the floor Jessica in shock runs out of the basement and locks the door Ryan is behind her and jumps INT. HALLWAY – DAY Jessica panics, sits down and starts to scream. Puts her hands over her ears. ALICE INT. BASEMENT - EVENING Touches the mirror in curiosity and sees Ann covered in blood in the mirror and is gets closer to her and is Crawling out of the mirror. Alice feeling scared runs out. EXT – DOCTORS – DAY Jessica is sitting outside, and the doctor is talking to Ryan.   DOCTOR Well, she just had a huge shock and her body needs rest for her   to go back to her normal state. Please take care of her. RYAN Thank you INT. HOME – LATE AFTERNOON Alice is screaming and trying to grab onto whatever she can. Ann leaves a trail of her footprints in blood leading to the mirror in Alice’s...

                     These locations are good because it is small and dark/spooky (which also relates to the treatment of film). There are also dark long stairs which is exactly what I wrote in the my treatment. I would want the camera to already be down the stairs and looking up towards whoever is coming down.

INT. INSIDE THE HOUSE – MIDDAY Jessica, Ryan and Alice are unpacking and Alice hears voices and goes to the basement. She walks down in trepidation (fear) Voices get louder as Alice approaches the mirror. ALICE Touches the mirror in curiosity and sees Ann covered in blood in the mirror and is getting closer to her. Alice feeling scared runs out to her mom and dad. ALICE Daddy! Daddy! I saw a girl   in the mirror! RYAN Don’t be silly Alice it’s just your imagination! JESSICA Don’t worry Alice, go and unpack, I will see what’s there. Goes down to the basement and sees the mirror. She touches it and is pushed down to the floor by Ann as she is crawling out of the mirror. Jessica in shock runs out the basement and locks the door.
