NEW VERSION OF MY SCRIPT

INT. BASEMENT – NIGHT

Jessica Goes down to the basement and sees
the mirror.
She touches it and is pushed down
to the floor
Jessica in shock runs out of the basement
and locks the door
Ryan is behind her and jumps

INT. HALLWAY – DAY

Jessica panics, sits down and starts to scream. Puts her hands over her ears.

ALICE
INT. BASEMENT - EVENING

Touches the mirror in curiosity and
sees Ann covered in blood in the mirror
and is gets closer to her and is
Crawling out of the mirror.
Alice feeling scared runs out.

EXT – DOCTORS – DAY

Jessica is sitting outside,
and the doctor is talking to Ryan.

 DOCTOR

Well, she just had a huge shock
and her body needs rest for her
 to go back to her normal state.
Please take care of her.

RYAN

Thank you


INT. HOME – LATE AFTERNOON

Alice is screaming and trying
to grab onto whatever she can.
Ann leaves a trail of her footprints in blood leading to the mirror in Alice’s room

INT- HOME – MORNING

JESSICA DOES A VOICEOVER OF INTRODUCING ELISE

JESSICA
My sister, she is a spirit summoner,
She will know to get
 Alice back and find some answers.

RYAN
Are you sure about this?

JESSICA
(crying)
It’s the only way to get her back

INT. HOUSE – NIGHT

They are all siting in a circle with candles
Surrounding them in Alice’s room
Elise starts to chant.
Harriet, Ann’s mother appears in front of them.
Harriet looking scared and angry,
she looks up at them.

HARRIET
(shouts)
You wont be able to… She will kill you all…
All she wants is to be loved.

Ghost children start surrounding Jessica and starts shouting. Their voices get louder.

GHOST CHILDREN
Now it’s your turn
She will die x4

JESSICA
Starts shouting and crying.
Alice!!! Where are you?
Alice!


INT. BASEMENT - FINAL SCENE

 Elise is following behind Alice(Ann), when they are exiting
the basement
Elise notices that her hands are a grey/pale colour
The camera zooms into an extreme close up of Ann smirking devilishly.

I used the Insidious film trailer as my inspiration for the improved version of the script.

What is wrong with this video; At the beginning, there is a shot of her opening the door and then opening the door again.  The Editing Method: I imported my short video on to iMovie and I clicked on new event & positioned the clips from my video on there. Then I want to the iLife sound effects and scrolled through the different sounds until I got to the sitcom laughter section (I picked the 0:17 seconds sound). I put this sound at the end of the video where the doctor doctor joke is said by the patient and the doctor because I released that it would make sense to put it at that part, instead of the beginning or the middle because the audience will most likely be confused as to why there is laughter there, when nothing funny is being said. Then, I scrolled through the iMovie sound effects and found a squeaky metal door sound, which I used at the beginning of the video, where the patient opens the door and comes in.

PRACTISE SHOOT FOR MIRROR SCENE

The process: My teacher filmed me standing in front of one of the computers near the door. Then we took out the glass from a wooden frame and we filmed the frame. Then we uploading all our footage onto the macs and then opened up Premiere Pro. We put the footage onto Premiere Pro and played around with some buttons and functions, we put the footage of my in front of the computers and shelf and we put it inside the frame to make it look like i was coming from within the frame.

UPDATE ON WHAT I HAVE DONE Thursday 7th Dec

Filming: I have been doing the filming on my own in Hadiah's absence (classmate). So far I have been able to film half of the scenes we have and I am steadily making my way through each of the scenes we have. I have filmed scenes 1, 2, 4, 6 so far.  Some of these scenes have gone well in terms of filming i.e. on some of the shots I have filmed I used white balancing, I managed to get a good voiceover to accompany scene 6. But, I need to work on using the tripod more when I am filming so that the footage will not be out of focus on the screen. Editing: I have been using Premier Pro to edit the footage that I filmed for my trailer. When I was learning how to use it in class, we edited a clip on Premiere Pro which I enjoyed and found easy to use after I finished editing the clip.  Screenshot of Wolf of Wall Street clip (my version): Here is my document of feedback
